Portugal footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, stunned staff of a Greek hotel he stayed when he left them £17,850 (Dh85,345 approx) tip. The 33-year-old player was holidaying with his family post Portugal’s exit from the World Cup at the hands of Uruguay.
The footballer posted pictures on Instagram of himself enjoying his time off in the Mediterranean with partner Georgina Rodriguez, his son, and friends. Ronaldo was reportedly impressed by the hotel service and left the hefty tip before flying to Italy to complete his £100million move to Serie A side Juventus, Daily Mail quoted The Sun.
Speaking at his press conference, the five time Ballon d’Or winner said, “I am not sad to leave Real Madrid. I am here because I want a challenge. Players around my age are going to other countries like China. For this season I am so grateful for the option that Juventus gave me.” He added, “I will try and show I am a top player. I will work hard. You all know my statistics. I’m ambitious.”
